Masquerade - Chapter 1

BRING BRING BRING
"Ugh" Maka mumbled hitting the top of her alarm clock knocking it to the ground
"Stupid Soul did he really have to play Call of Duty till 2 in the morning, he probably kept the whole floor up" Maka sighed getting out of bed and putting on her usual uniform. She wore her long sleeved white shirt with a green tie and a yellow sweater vest; she also wore her plaid, mid thigh high, black striped red mini skirt. She walked out of the room looking to the left and saw Soul's door slightly open, she took a peek upon the sound asleep Soul and a soft smile appeared on her face then she went towards the kitchen. Today she was making bacon and eggs Soul's favourite
"Soul breakfast is ready" she announced to her lazy weapon
"Soul" she wondered, Maka walked back down the hall and opened Soul's door
"Soul breakfast i..." their stand Soul shirtless with only jeans on that made Maka blush a raspberry bush upon her cheeks, Maka stared silently at the scar that crossed his chest and stomach, she remembered the time Soul risked his life for her and that she could never forgive herself. After staring at him for a few seconds she slammed the door leaning her back against then other side sliding down until she was curled up into a ball like shape, after getting herself together she got up and went back to the kitchen placing 2 plates on the table and sitting down on 1 of the chairs. Once a minute past Soul came out fully dressed and sat down across from Maka, the whole meal was silent; when they both finished the put their dishes away got their shoes on and headed to school.
"Hey Soul, do you have a feeling today will be strange" Maka asked her partner
"Actually I do and I won't like it" Soul replied, once they got to school and walked through the front doors, a whole bunch a people crowded by a wall caught their attention, Maka followed by her partner walked up to a pink haired girl who was standing by the crowd.
"Kim, what's going on" Maka asked the pink haired girl
"There's 2 masquerade dances coming up 1 tomorrow night 1 the next, the first will be a regular one with a king and queen, the 2nd will be where you find out who you've been with the night before"
Kim explained while Soul was still trying to look past the crowd of kids, once the explanation was over Soul and Maka's 5 friends walked over took a peek at the masquerade poster after the kids cleared up
"Perfect now all the girls will all want to dance with the god" Black Star announced making Tsubaki have a little frown
"1st of all its a masquerade dance so no one will know who you are, and 2nd of all there might be a certain girl who only wants to dance with you" Liz smirked looking at Tsubaki and then back to Black star.
"Good point" Black Star mumbled.
"So Liz what are you wearing to the masquerade" Maka smiled at Liz
"Oh, actually me, Patty and kid are the hosts so we aren't gonna be really dressing up" Liz replied
"Ok then what about you Tsubaki" Maka turned to the ninja weapon
"Me well I'm gonna be wearing the white dress I wore to Kid's Birthday party, white high heels, angel wings and a white mask of course" Tsubaki said with joy
"Sounds great and Black Star" asked knowing his answer was gonna be pretty stupid
"Well the great and godly Black Star is gonna wear my assassin suit and a black mask" Maka was right.
"Then everyone will know who you are" Soul pointed out
"Exactly" Black Star grinned.
"Hey Maka what are you wearing"Patty asked the girl in pigtails
"I actually have nothing to wear yet" Maka replied
"Awww I wanted to know what maka-chan was gonna wear" Patty pouted
"So Soul are you going to the dance" Maka asked with smile of 'trying to convince him to come' on her face, even though she already knew the answer, he never came to any dance with her but it wouldn't really matter this time it was a masquerade after all
"Na to boring" he replied with a unamused face, that made Maka have a small frown form on her face
"Hey Maka what about us 3 take you out shopping after school to find you an outfit" Liz shouted with excitement making Maka`s frown disappear
"Sure that would be grea Maka smiled, then the bell suddenly rang
"We better get to class before Pro.Stein threatens to dissect us" Maka laughed and the rest of her friends laugh with her as they head to their first class.
